Fun Birthday Games for a Boy’s Birthday Party
Posted by Candace Wrighting under: Homes And Property .
If birthday parties aren’t something you’re used to planning, it could be challenging to come up with good birthday games for kids. Maybe you’re throwing a birthday party for your son and inviting his friends; you know for a fact that boys can be energetic and rowdy. That’s your starting point: Boys enjoy games that are fun and require activity. Let’s go over a few ideas.
Assuming that you’re having the birthday party during the summer, the boys will probably love a water gun fight. You can turn it into the classic Indians and cowboys gunfight by splitting them up into teams. The object of the game? Make the opposing team as wet as possible! When you send out the invitations, be sure to tell everyone to bring an extra set of clothes. By the way, you can find really good deals on water guns if you check out the dollar store, and you’ll be able to buy them in all sorts of sizes and colors.
You may be worried that you’ll have to spend a fortune to come up with good birthday games for kids, but that’s not true. One of the most fun games around is also one of the cheapest: Three-legged races. You probably know how it works: A pair of boys get tied together, the right leg to the left leg, and each pair tries to be the first to cross the finish line. If you want to make it even more challenging for older boys, you can turn the race into an obstacle course. To avoid injuries, be sure to match up boys that are similarly sized.
Another idea that boys will enjoy is playing dress-up. Sound insane? Not if you get the boys to dress up as pirates and let them recreate scenes from their very favorite pirate stories. Better yet, if you plan on having a pirate theme for the birthday party, you could organize a pirate treasure hunt
One last birthday games for kids is the spoon race. All you will need for this game are spoons and something to balance on the spoons, like pieces of fruit, a small ball, or an egg. The object of this game is to have each team pass the spoon with their teeth through the line of your team. The first team to have the spoon reach the other end of the line without hands is the winner. This game may be too difficult for smaller boys though.
Those are just a few ideas for birthday games for kids. Hopefully you’ve been inspired to come up with some of your own, too.
