Finding ladies golf clubs to fit any female golfer has always been a difficult task and although more women are now playing golf it does not seem to get any easier.
Because all of us, both males and females, are human and therefore different than each other, there will always be a problem when trying to find suitable golf equipment.
Golf Clubs are a Male Dominated Market
The lady golfer is always going to find that in a male dominated market the number of options available for suitable ladies golf clubs is going to be low. Golf clubs have high production and development costs and getting products to market just for the ladies may be restrictive.
If you are a female golfer you may just get lucky and find that a standard golf club design for the male market will work for you too, but this does not often happen. More likely you will find that women golfers find it hard to find the right golf clubs especially when looking for the whole set.
Women Are Different Than Men
The physical differences between men and women means that both sexes have different requirements when it comes to selecting that perfect golf club. A club that is too stiff or too flexible will not be suitable for the lady golfer and a standard gold club is unlikely to match a female golfers swing in most cases.
Lighter weight clubs may help to increase swing speed for longer shots but then there is a possibility of loosing the control that would be provided by a heavier club. Club length is also very important as women tend to be shorter than men and the clubs they need will have to be shorter to give a more comfortable fit in the hands of the lady golfer.
It always pats to test the exact fit and comfort factor of potential golf clubs before making a final choice. For ladies this may mean a lot of research and testing before they get the clubs that they want.
Purpose Built Designs and Custom Clubs are Good News
Fortunately there are quite a few manufacturers who produce purpose built golf clubs for women such as woods, wedges and irons that are design specifically to aid the female golfer. In general these do tend to be lighter clubs so ladies can more easily improve their golf game and make quicker progress.
As a woman gets better at golf then her demand for better clubs will also increase and the requirement for something that fits really well becomes even more important. In this case it may be necessary to have a set of custom golf clubs made to ensure the best fit possible.
Custom made ladies golf clubs are expensive and you should be prepared for this. But getting the best fit will ensure that the improvement in your golf game will be much more likely and probably worth the cost of this investment.
Today it is actually now easier to find golf clubs that a designed just for the woman golfer, however it really should be easier than it is for female golf players to find clubs that will help her improve and that match her style.

Although finding the best ladies golf clubs is probably the hardest task that a female golfer will face it is recommended that they make it a high priority as they will only progress in this game if they have the right equipment and it is equipment that is easy to use.
