How Do I Keep My Stainless Steel Sink Looking Good
Hardwearing and goodlooking are perhaps the reasons it has become very popular to have stainless steel sinks in the kitchen. These can look amazing but they do need to be cared for in the proper manner. The great thing is that though you do have some upkeep, they are low maintenance. A few useful tips will help to keep it clean and nice, and a trick or two that you can do to make it sparkle.
It just looks so good when you walk into your kitchen and see the sink sparkle in the light. It gives your kitchen a feeling of cleanliness. A stainless steel sinks should not be too difficult to clean, but there can be times when you have to put a bit of extra elbow grease into it. There are some things like grease and dried-on foods can be hard to shift but When dealing with grease, it can be a simple task to remove it. Just add a few drops of your dish washing detergent to the area, and then splash with some warm water. Then you just let it sit for a moment and it should come right off. When you are dealing with dried-on foods, a little scrubby that is safe for stainless steel sinks and keeping the mess damp for a time should clean the mess right up without too much trouble.
Some things appear to stain the stainless steel but actually do not. If you pour coffee and tea down stainless steel sinks, for example, some of those liquids can sit in the grooves of the sink and this can dull the appearance. It appears to be a stain but it actually isn’t and When that happens, a little cleaner and some elbow grease can clean these things up right away. Don?t forget to use it on your sink stoppers as well, as they can be the dingiest part of the sink. Make sure you rinse well and your sink of stainless steel should look like new again.
To get a really special shine, there are a few little secrets. One trick is to use glass cleaner when they are done cleaning their stainless steel sinks. This works great after using Comet because it cleans out any remaining cleaning agent, and the gives the sink an incredible shine. You must rinse it all off thoroughly afterwards if you might put food on it. You can wipe down your faucet with the glass cleaner as well. You can also get some special cleaner that is made for anything made with stainless steel. Follow the directions and do your stainless steel sinks at least once a month and you should keep it looking like new.
